INGREDIENTS

So what’s Inside…?

When we set out to create Tear Care our aim was simple: minimal ingredients for a multitude of uses.

We combined a unique blend of ingredients that would provide an overnight skin treatment balm to help relieve, provide temporary protection, and speed up the recovery process of dry, chapped and cracked skin, calluses, rashes, grazes, minor cuts and burns and mild skin irritations.

Want maximum results?  There’s always a good time for using Tear Care, but we recommend applying this nifty balm to the affected areas at night and letting the ingredients work their magic while you get some sleep.

COCONUT OIL

Coconut oil is an abundant, natural source of lauric acid which when present in the body is converted to monolaurin. Monolaurin is a compound that has a strong ability to ward off and fight unwanted viruses, bacteria, funguses and other microorganisms. It has anti-oxidant, antimicrobial, antibacterial and anti fungal properties making it a wonderful anti-aging moisturizer and skin healer.

BEES WAX

Beeswax helps to improve the condition and texture of the skin by locking in skin moisture, fostering the skin cells and protecting the skin from environmental damages. Beeswax contains non-allergenic properties that help protect the skin from airborne allergies along with powerful anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties that are all beneficial to the skin. It also has a number of benefits in treating skin problems like acne, eczema, and dry skin / lips.

CAMPHOR

Camphor is being used as one of the best remedies to treat various beauty related issues. It has anti-inflammatory properties making your skin less susceptible to acne and pimples. It acts as a cooling agent which is great for relieving muscle pain and irritation but can also be used to relieve itching / irritation or skin redness.Other major benefits of camphor is it softens cracked and uneven heels / cracked skin – it can also used to cure scars caused by burns and cuts.

MANUKA HONEY

Manuka honey is a monofloral honey obtained from the legendary antibacterial and antifungal tea tree. The magic of manuka honey is that the bees pass on the additional antifungal and antibiotic properties of the tea tree into their already nice ‘n’ antibacterial honey, creating more active hydrogen peroxide and methylglyoxyl. This makes manuka honey the subject of many studies as a wound dressing, MRSA fighter, and acne “miracle” cure. It’s naturally brilliant.

VITAMIN E

Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs your skin. Antioxidants are agents that neutralize the oxidant effect of free radicals, which are molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. Antioxidants also prevent cellular damage from occurring. Vitamin E is one of the most powerful antioxidants, but your body can’t produce it, which means you have to make sure you’re getting enough of this valuable nutrient.

TEA TREE OIL

The knowledge of tea tree’s natural healing qualities has been around for thousands of years. It has so many anti-viral and anti-fungal benefits that the Australian army put it into soldiers’ first aid kits. Tea tree oil can be used in a variety of ways, especially to heal your skin. Tea tree oil is used to treat minor wounds, encourage healing, and prevent infection. It’s also an excellent treatment for acne. Tea tree oil is a potent healer and works as an amazing tonic for your skin.

PETROLEUM JELLY

Petroleum jelly is an oil-based emollient making it a long-lasting lubricant to smooth and protect rough and dry skin. Emollients help to replace lipids by filling in gaps in between skin cells resulting in soft, well-hydrated skin. Not only is it the glue to Tear Care holding all the ingredients together, but it also has many of its own benefits such as treating minor wounds (scratches, cuts, rashes etc), moisturising dry or chapped skin and protecting skin against the elements.
